April 25, 2014

Easter weekend was amazing!  I am so proud of our church!  The weekend was a huge win for us.  With the help of hundreds, we saw 40+ pray to receive Christ and we were able to host 1,774 people in four services.  From top to bottom our ministry partners impressed.  Thank you!!

This coming weekend we start a new series called “What If?”  What if we gave ourselves completely to the mission of the church?  How could God use us to impact our city?  This will focus on our church’s mission and how we accomplish it.  If you are interested you could take a sneak peek at Acts 2:42-47.

Also, we will be unveiling Serve Day.  This is a first for us, and we believe the impact will be long-lasting.  Our goal is to make a significant impact in the name of Christ on our city.  We want to add value to our community.  Please plan to be part of this tremendous event happening on Saturday and Sunday, May 17-18.

We look forward to seeing you this weekend as we gather to celebrate the goodness of our God, catch up with friends and find ourselves challenged by God’s Word.

Please know we love you.

P.S. Just a reminder that our second service now starts at 10:00 am instead of 9:45 am.

Mark 16:6  "He isn't here! He is risen from the dead!"

Easter is coming!  We are eagerly anticipating and preparing for this beautiful celebration of our Lord and Savior Jesus.  I know life is busy, but please don't let the next few days slip by without taking even a few moments to think on the high price Jesus has paid...so that we may live.  Let it motivate each one of us in our walk with Him.  We do not serve the wonderful memory of a great man or prophet.  We walk with Jesus, the resurrected Savior and King of our hearts.  He has changed our lives forever and holds out the hope of eternal life with Him.  Hope in Him will never disappoint.  Easter is coming!  Let us prepare our hearts to celebrate as His church!

I want to remind everyone that we will be having four identical services-6:00 on Saturday night and then 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30 on Sunday morning.  We have torn down the wall to make our two properties one and have plenty of parking now.  I would suggest parking on the grass first, if you are able-bodied, so our visitors can find open spaces nearest to the church building.  We will have traffic police to help us Sunday morning as well.

Growing Again!  I want to let you know that due to our growth as a church, we are changing our service time for the middle service to 10:00 (was 9:45, now is 10:00.)  This change starts on Easter and will continue each week after.  It will help us to work through any congestion issues we may have been having in the parking lot.  Thank you for your understanding.

Mark your calendars!  SERVE DAY is coming, May 17 and 18.  We are not having services on this weekend.  INSTEAD, we are going to be partnering with the Bayside family of churches to serve our local communities.  We will have over 150 service opportunities to join in on and impact our city with.  We can all give at least an hour and a half on Saturday or Sunday individually or with our families to impact our city in Jesus' name.  Details for signups will be coming soon.

I can hardly wait to see you as we celebrate the goodness of our God, catch up with friends and find ourselves challenged by God's Word.

We love you!

Psalm 9:2  "I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High."

God is my source of joy! No matter what life is giving me, my God is the source that never ceases. He is a spring that never stops flowing. Today, regardless of good news or bad, my Father in heaven keeps bubbling up refreshing to my spirit. Wherever you are at today, lean into Him. Taste and see that He is good. (Psalm 34:8)
For this coming weekend I am excited to bring a message out of Colossians 3. The subject is "Risk Breaking Free." Take a look at the passage ahead of time and jot down some notes so that you will already be thinking about our topic. I want you to know ahead of time--this message will be hope-filled!
I wanted to let you know as well about an event coming to our church on April 13. Guest Artist Josh Falcone will be in concert that evening and debuting a music video highlighting the plight of those coming out of the sex trade. This concert will help us bring awareness to those hurting and at the same time lift up the hope of Christ for all.
We are thrilled at what God is doing in our church and community through each of us. We love you and can't wait to see you this coming weekend as we celebrate the goodness of our God, catch up with friends and find ourselves challenged by God's Word.
