Thank
you to Pastor Cheryl for teaching on Sunday, April 27th! It brings me a great deal of peace to know that we have competent
leadership in our church that can jump in at a moment’s
notice. As a leader, I am a blessed man
to have the quality of team that we do and so appreciate every one of them. Please take a moment soon to tell
them how much you appreciate them or shoot them an email or note. This last weekend my treatments (for cancer
prevention) did not wear off as usual by Sunday morning. Fortunately, this rarely happens, but I have
every intention of being back for this weekend’s teaching.
For
this coming Sunday we are continuing our new series “What If?” You could take
some time ahead of Sunday and jot a few notes of reflection on the following
verse. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12: “Two people are better off than one,
for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person
falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real
trouble… 12 A person standing
alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer.
Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”
I
hope you will make it a priority to be part of this coming weekend as we gather
to celebrate the goodness of God, catch up with friends and find ourselves
encouraged by God’s Word.
A
BIG thanks to everyone who has already signed up for Serve Day! This is going to be an amazing weekend for
our community to get to know the heart of our church. Please take time and tell us when and where you
will join in with us. We have already
added at least another 10 areas of service right here in our city that you can
sign up for this Sunday.
We
love you and will see you very soon!
